Development Management

The RICS identify five key phases of the development management process derived from the RIBA Plan of Work:

Phase 1 | Developer’s initial concept

Phase 2 | Site acquisition strategy

Phase 3 | Outline appraisal

Phase 4 | Outline planning permission

Phase 5 | Full planning permission

Size and complexity of the development will determine whether all phases are followed, however even small developments require a structured approach, even if one or more phases are omitted or merged.

We are able to provide developers with professional property, construction and project delivery knowledge to support their development aspirations. Whether it's a residential or commercial scheme, we are able to tailor a service to manage the development process alongside the developer.

Our project and programme management skills crossover to support the development management process and enable a robust delivery approach when moving through each stage of the development process. We can assist in developing the brief for the concept, search and support appointment of appropriate resources, manage the appraisal process and advise on the risk and opportunities through the planning process.
